Serena Williams, 23-time Grand Slam champion, shared an embarrassing but comical experience on her Instagram story. In a bizarre event, the American accidentally took her dog’s medication before going to bed last night.
Through a series of Instagram stories, Williams revealed that she was so exhausted before going to bed that she mistakenly took her dog’s medicine – thinking it was her nightly medication.
“Alright. I’m a little tired. It’s been a long day. I went to bed and took my dog’s medicine. I just wasn’t thinking. I was like okay – medicine every night. Took it. That’s how tired I am,” Williams said.

Trolling herself, Williams told her fans not to ignore her if she barks or acts strangely on social media. After sharing the hilarious story, Williams, dressed in a white t-shirt and colorful shower cap, posted a selfie with an embarrassed expression on her face.
“So be warned, if I start acting weird or start barking on social media, then just can’t ignore me. She weighs about 6 pounds. Should I be okay? Just in case I’m not, it’s kind of wild, isn’t it?” says Williams.
The 40-year-old has the most entertaining social media account among tennis players. She regularly posts interesting videos with her cute little girl Olympia, who has become a huge hit with fans. Whether it’s posing for a photoshoot, baking a chocolate cake, taking tennis lessons, Olympia is always by her mom’s side.
Meanwhile, Williams hasn’t played since she withdrew from her first-round match at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. She skipped the US Open citing a hamstring tear and would hopefully return at the start of the 2022 season.
Since winning the 2017 Australian Open, Williams has been aiming to match Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles. Although he has reached four Grand Slam finals in the past four years, Williams has been on the losing side each time. The quest for a 24th Grand Slam title now seems more elusive than ever.
